This past Christmas, my wife surprised me with one of the coolest presents I’ve every received: my DNA as art. Yes, it sounds a little crazy, and it was more money than I wanted her to spend, but it is extraordinary. It’s a little difficult describe. My dna wall art is large, a 36-inch by 24-inch photograph on canvas, with cool blue color and populated with light rectangles that match my DNA fingerprint. It has a very modern art feel to it, and it hangs on prominent wall space over our couch.
I’ll never forget how it all started. We were in bed a few weeks ago, getting ready to turn off the lights, when my wife turned to me and said, “I’m going to ask you to do something strange right now. I don’t want you to ask any questions. This will come back as a present to you, but you’ve got to just go along with it.”
Then she asked me to close my eyes, keep them closed and open my mouth. Suddenly, I felt something like a cotton swab up against my inner cheek. It was startling. I almost opened my eyes while she was gathering a DNA sample. It was all very sneaky. I couldn’t figure out what she was up to, and within a couple of days, I had forgotten all about it.
Now I’m planning her DNA wall art to hang next to mine. I also highly recommend DNA picture art for all those contemplating luxury gift ideas for their loved ones. There are several sources online that offer DNA artwork in various colors and on canvas, acrylic, metal and other surfaces. I’m planning to go with DNA-Art-Us.com because it appears to offer one of the best selections of color and surface options. I won’t be able to surprise my wife like she surprised me, but one of her gift boxes underneath the Christmas tree this year will be a special DNA collection kit.
